Los Angeles Clippers Choose Digital Audio to Outfit Mercedes Charity Giveaway Vehicle

Los Angeles, CA, March 28, 2005 – The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation recently held its Charity Car Raffle, which raised over $75,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, The Boys and Girls Club, A Place Called Home and the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation. The grand prize was a 2005 Custom C230 Mercedes-Benz Sports Sedan, fully equipped with an elaborate sound system by Digital Audio. The winner, Russell R. of Los Angeles, will enjoy a crisp sound system with some of Digital Audio’s most powerful high-current amplifiers, SPL subwoofers, capacitors and more, totaling nearly $10,000 in high-end gear.

With over 200 winners receiving an array of Clippers prizes, the raffle was held on February 1, 2005.

The vehicle is fully-equipped, to say the least. Rumbling from the Benz’s trunk is a pair of Digital Audio 10-inch SPL subwoofers, capable of handling 2,000 watts of continuous juice. Being powered by a pair of Digital Audio 2-channel high current amps and three 4-channel amps, the entire sound system packs a thunderous punch of sonic output. With eight component speakers, tweeters and crossovers, the Digital Audio system’s commanding power level is carefully maintained by digital capacitors, ensuring a protected and smooth sound. Additionally, all the Digital Audio equipment installed matches the LAC230’s vibrant red color, adding a stylish accent to the car’s already-impressive appearance, inside and out.

The grand prize winner will also sit with select Clippers players to design their own rims.

Digital Audio is pleased to be a part of the Clippers’ organization and congratulates Russell on his brand new Benz.
