Digital Audio: Best of the Best at MECA State Finals


Ethridge, TN, October 9, 2005
– The MECA Tennessee State Finals were held on October 9th at the US 43 Raceway in Ethridge and if you were lucky enough to be there, you remember the number of trophies awarded to Digital Audio show vehicles. Team Big Boys’ Toys won a whopping SEVEN 1st Place trophies, two 2nd place trophies and one 3rd place.
Loyal Digital Audio competitor Chett Simmons was awarded Best of the Best at the show and took home 5 1st Place finishes. He is a state record-holder in all 5 classes—M-7 SPL, MR-7 SPL, X-3 SPL, DBSPL-5 and B/Z-3. Chett also received 2 2nd Place trophies and won 6 titles at the show: Phat Truck, Phat ICE, Fastest, Loudest and Best of the Best. Bill Steenbergen won 1st Place in the Modified+SQL and Modified Install, 2nd Place in M-1 SPL and 3rd Place in MR-1 SPL.
Team Big Boys’ Toys is a MECA World Finals qualifier and will compete at the MECA World Finals at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville on October 29th and 30th.
