Nashville, TN, October 29 – 30, 2005 – The MECA Tennessee
World Finals were held on October 29th and 30th at the Tennessee State
Fairgrounds in Nashville and, still buzzing off their successes at the
MECA State Finals, Digital Audio competitors took home even more trophies
to add to their growing collection.
Team leader of Big Boys Toys, Chet Simmons, received Top Honors at the
show, winning Best of the Best, Phat ICE and a first place trophy in
MR-7 SQL. He even took home SIX other awards at the World Finals including
two 2nd place finishes, two 3rd place wins, and 4th and 5th place trophies.
Bill Steenbergen of Team Big Boys Toys received first place in SQL Modified
Plus Class. A close 2nd to Bill was yet another Digital Audio competitor,
Dennis Chapman of Team DC’s Car Audio. Dennis won three 2nd place
trophies in SPL X-2, SQL Modified Plus and SQL Modified Install. Sean
Sinclair of Team DC’s Car Audio also received honors. He won a
3rd place finish in M-2 Modified 2.
Digital Audio congratulates all its loyal competitors and wishes them
luck in future competitions. With so many decorated competitors on the
team, it’s no wonder the Digital Audio name has received such
high accolades from industry events like the MECA World Finals.
