Beach, FL, March 23 – 25, 2006 – This year’s
Spring Break Nationals Show brought together the nation’s most
tricked-out cars and hottest party people into one giant party. Digital
Audio was in the house and kept the Ocean Center at Daytona Beach abuzz
throughout the weekend. With an exhibit right in front of the convention
center and another booth indoors, the energy level was higher than ever.
Without a doubt Digital Audio’s Honda Element was a focus of attention at Spring Break Nationals. With its stunning new paint job by Cory St. Clair, the Element looked and sounded great, capturing the attention of anyone who crossed its path. Digital Audio’s beautiful model Amber greeted SBN attendees and autographed posters during the show. For Digital Audio fans, it was a treat to see the company’s new line of car audio gear and the people behind the action. By far the most memorable part of Digital Audio’s appearance at Spring Break Nationals was the daily Pizza Eating Contest. Contestants had five minutes to scarf-down an entire Papa John’s Pizza. The winners received a Digital Audio Amplified Bass Tube valued at $269.99. The entire line of Digital Audio products was represented, giving Spring Breakers a glimpse into the company’s powerful potential. Booth visitors got a glimpse at Digital Audio’s new Class A/B amplifiers featuring rail LED lighting. The newly-designed Excursion Drivers, Extended Low Frequency Drivers and Sound Q Drivers were undeniably the highlight of the Digital Audio exhibit. Attendees were intrigued by the unconventional design and air-cooling technology. Digital Audio handed out a heap of T-shirts, tank-tops, catalogs, posters and other freebies throughout the show. A few lucky party-goers even walked away with some free Digital Audio components. The MECA circuit at Spring Break Nationals was ruled by Digital Audio. An impressive NINE titles were won by Digital Audio show car competitors thanks to Team Big Boys’ Toys. Bill Steenbergen took home top honors, winning “Best of Best of Show”. He also took home 1st place in DB3 Drive by SPL in addition to five other trophies. Competitor Seth Willis, in his first competition, won a 1st place trophy in SQL Amateur Class and Jake Huff won 3rd place in SQL Modified Class. Team Leader Chet Simmons was there to support his team. Simmons, whose record-holding Chevy S-10, is currently being re-fitted with even more Digital Audio gear, won an astonishing FIFTY trophies in the 2005 season—pretty impressive considering he attended only 5 events. Simmons and the Team Big Boys’ Toys crew are scheduled to attend many more shows this year and are already on their way to qualifying for the World Finals. Representing on behalf of Digital Audio were Sales Development Coordinator Joe Fisher and Account Specialists John Newman and Michelle Krick. “Spring Break Nationals is always a fun show for us,” said Joe Fisher upon the show’s conclusion. “It’s a great way to get our name in front of the consumers and show them the excitement that Digital Audio brings.” To
